課程敘述

對理工與資電學科的學生而言,常微分方程式、偏微分方程式為繼微積分後與應用科學最息息相關的一門數學。一般物理系統大部份均能以常微分方程式或偏微分方程式表示,諸如機械系統,電路系統等等。本課程主要目的是介紹常微分方程式與機械系統,電路系統的關係,並教授各種常微分方程式的解法.諸如待定係數法,降階法,微分運算子法及參數變易法等等,並利用Laplace 轉換及級數展開分析常微分方程式。學生將於本課程學得分析電磁學,電路學與各種系統的能力。

Course Description

Ordinary differential equations and partial differential equations are probably the most immediately useful part of postcalculus mathematics for students of applied science. In general, most of physical systems can be described by ordinary differential equation, for example mechanics systems and electrical circuits etc. The main objective of this course is to supply different methods to analyze ordinary differential equation and its applications. These methods include undetermined coefficients, reduction order, differential operator and variation of parameters. In the meantime, Laplace transform and series expansion technique are introduced to solve the ordinary differential equations.
